Passion and tradition are woven on the slopes of Vesuvius, in a Naples rich in art, immersed in an inextricable tangle that always fascinates and enchants its visitors. The worldwide popularity of the city, originates amongst other things to its traditions. An example is the tarantella, a traditional folk dance or the Christmas nativity scene, a tangible sign of religiosity of Naples.

The artistic value of Naples is indisputable. It is enough to recall the art present in Piazza Plebiscito: the church of San Francesco di Paola of 1816 inspired by the magnificence of the roman Pantheon and Palazzo Salerno constructed in the 1700’s.

Also to visit is Palazzo Reale, which now houses the National Library. Remarkable for its façade and bell tower is Chiesa di San Agostino della Zecca, built in the 1300’s as is the enchanting little fishing village of Montechiaro.

There are also numerous museums in Naples that attest to the richness of the city from an artistic point of view like the National Museum, the Museum and National Gallery of Capodimonte and the Museum of Palazzo Reale.

Even under its natural profile, the city and surrounds offers may touristic metas. Of noteworthy mention is a visit to the Parco di Posillipo between Naples and Pozzuoli, the Gotta di Seiano and l’arenile di Cordoglio.

From the B & B Villa Pollio it is extremely easy to reach Naples. At 200 metres from our villa, you will find the local train, the Circumsuviana that in an hour arrives in Naples or in the alternative you have the option of taking a hydrofoil to Sorrento.
